Yard and garden care

Residential Landscaping in Calgary

Beds weeded, shrubs shaped and edges kept sharp — the ongoing work that makes a front yard look cared for.

EPM Services provides residential landscaping maintenance in Calgary — garden bed care, shrub and hedge trimming, edging, mulching and general yard upkeep — on a one-time or recurring basis.

Landscaping maintenance is different from lawn care. Lawn care is about the grass; landscaping is about everything around it — beds, borders, shrubs, edges and the transitions between them. Many homeowners book both, but they are planned separately so each gets the right attention.

This page covers maintaining existing yards. If you are selling, renting out a property, or simply catching up after a busy season, a one-time tidy can be scoped the same way.

How it works

From first message to finished yard

  1. 01

    Share the yard

Photos of the front and back yard, and what bothers you most about it now.

  2. 02

    Set the scope

We agree which beds, shrubs and areas are included and how often.

  3. 03

    Maintenance visits

Work is carried out and debris taken away, leaving the yard ready to use.

  4. 04

    Seasonal changes

Scope shifts through the year — trimming in summer, cleanups at each end of the season.

Timing

One-time or through the season

Recurring visits through the growing season keep weeds from taking over and shrubs from outgrowing their space. One-time visits work well before a sale, a family event or after a season of neglect.

Local

Gardening in Calgary's short season

Calgary's growing season is short and its frost dates are unpredictable, so beds tend to go from bare to overgrown quickly in June. Staying ahead of that early growth is easier than catching up in July.

Dry, windy spells and hail can damage shrubs mid-summer; regular visits are a chance to spot and trim damaged growth before it spreads.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between landscaping and lawn care?

Lawn care covers the grass — mowing, trimming and edging the lawn. Landscaping maintenance covers beds, shrubs, hedges, borders and mulch. Both can be combined into one plan.

Can you do a one-time yard tidy before I sell?

Yes. One-time landscaping visits are available and are scoped from photos or a description of the yard.

Do you take away the yard waste?

Clippings and debris from the work are removed as part of the visit unless you prefer to keep them for compost.
